Time to edit was always a challenge for me when I was publishing videos weekly.

When I decided to make compilation videos at the end of 2023, I made the decision to use the original edit on the K&P Trail videos as a rough draft and question everything. So from the very first shot all the way to the end, I've gone in and completly reworked it. This reedit is finally what I envisioned when I was out there riding the trail. Another thing worth mentioning is the slight bump in video quality over the original videos.

I wish it would've been in the cards to have ridden all the way to Pembroke like I first planned on doing. The original plan was to do the trip in 5 days, sleeping at different places and charging camera batteries each night. When that idea fell through, I came up with the idea to do the trail this way. I knew I wouldn't be able to cover as much ground because I'd have to return to my starting point each time I went out. That effectively doubled the distance that I needed to cover when I was out, but I thought it was a good Plan B!

I tossed around the idea to return and continue biking north after things had dried up, but going solo brings some risks. In the end, I just wasn't prepared to take those risks in that kind of a remote area. Also, my time on the K&P Trail was a really positive experience and I wanted to leave it at that. I was out 4 times (3 of those were recorded and used here, and once just for myself). I rode over 300km of trail in those 4 trips. It was the best trail riding experience of 2023 for me and firmly cemented the K&P Trail as my second favourite trail in Southeastern Ontario, behind the Cataraqui Trail.
