The 20yearold gunman who reportedly opened fire on Donald Trump took the rifle from his father on the day of the assassination attempt. Thomas Matthew Crooks allegedly used the AR15style rifle at the gun range multiple times before the rally shooting. Crooks’ father, Matthew Crooks, owned the firearm and let his son use it occasionally.
