Daler Rowney Gold Ink vs. Winsor u0026 Newton Gold Ink. Daler Rowney Gold Ink is BEAUTIFUL and SUPERIOR

If I can save you some money by preventing you from buying a gold calligraphy ink that I couldn't get to work, I'd be so happy.

DO BUY the Daler Rowney Gold Acrylic ink; it flows off the nib beautifully, it has a gorgeous finish (the photo doesn't do it justice), and it's fast to the paper no need to spray your work with a protective finish (like Fixative).

DO NOT BUY the Winsor & Newton Gold ink. I couldn't get it to work. And not through want of trying. I had high hopes for this ink, I like Winsor & Newton, and I really wanted it to work. But it was an exercise in frustration. It would not flow off the nib, it would not make thin upstrokes, when it dried some of the ink would rub off on my finger. Darn darn darn.

If you want a beautiful, gold ink that will be your goto (I dare you to stop using it once you start), the Daler Rowney Gold Acrylic should be part of your everyday supplies.
