Danny Hiles lives near London, England and his story with Wilson disease began when he was a teenager. Like many others with WD, it took a while for him to get the right diagnosis. By that time he had advanced liver disease and was given the option of trying medication or going on a liver transplant list. He chose to give medication a try and for years it worked for him. But then he had no choice but to face a lifesaving transplant. This is his story.
