There is something I haven't done in quite a while and so I thought it was high time I did it again: night plane spotting!

Filming aircraft with no daylight left may not sound like such a good idea at first and it sure has its problems, but the results you get when everything works out, are just so completely different! Even the most common aircraft start to look special! In addition, image sensors have become a lot more sensitive in recent years and while the Sony NEX VG20 I used for previous night plane spotting videos ( for example    • Night Flight Selection #2   ) was quite good for its time, it sure can't quite cope with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. And that's the camera I used for this video!
