Darrell Brooks appeared to become unhinged in the courtroom when prosecutors, outside the jury's presence, threatened to bring up evidence that Brooks is a registered sex offender. Brooks was trying to bring in evidence against his exgirlfriend and the state said if that happened, they would be forced to bring up that Brooks was convicted of statutory sexual seduction and was a registered sex offender. Brooks later claimed she said she was 18 when he met her.
