One of the reasons stopping people getting a dashcam is the complicated wiring around the windshield to the fuse box and wiretapping for power. Well, I found a better way to get power to the dashcam just by tapping the power from the rearview mirror area. I'll share what I learned so it should help others on the Toyota/Lexus vehicles. Other vehicles will likely have similar setup but different connectors.

This video was filmed on a 2019 Lexus RX 350L AWD. I have installed on my other GS vehicle and it's been working great also.

Please verify that the connector works for your vehicle given it may differ in some models.

If you aren't too technically versed, I would still suggest finding an audio shop or mechanic for this installation.
