Dave Lincoln - 'Moonlight In Vermont' (Jazz Guitar)

“Moonlight In Vermont” is a beautiful Great American Songbook jazz standard written by John Blackburn and Karl Suessdorf in 1944. This is a tune that I’ve long loved ever since hearing Johnny Smith’s luscious, and truly iconic guitar version from 1952. I’m performing it as an intimate duet with myself featuring my new Eastman T64 (a Gibson ES330 / Epiphone Casino inspired instrument) loaded with Lollar P90 pickups and strung with an .11.52 set of strings with an unwound “G”. This is a fully hollow guitar that is very reminiscent of the instrument associated with jazz great, Grant Green. As for me, I’m an active DFW area jazz guitarist that is frequently featured at the Dallas Arboretum, the Hall Arts Hotel, Neiman Marcus Special Events, the Mansion On Turtle Creek, as well as, numerous local wineries and restaurants. I’m very proud to have been chosen to play at the Winspear Opera House for the Grand Opening Week of the Dallas Center For the Performing Arts where I supplied two Solo Jazz Guitar Performances. A special thanks to Dallas photographer, Sil Azevedo for the pictures he took of me at a sold out performance at the Dallas Arboretum. I note that I’m receiving ZERO $$$ compensation for this video and I’m posting it for jazz guitar students interested in this tune. Blessings to all, Dave 817.366.3723 [email protected],
