This is just a simple DAWless jam. Why a DAWless jam you ask? Because the most recent Windows update has crippled my laptop to the point that it cannot run any DAW or plugin that used to work without issue.

After getting over the initial rage, I simply pulled out a few pieces of hardware that had sat neglected for way too long and I belted out a tune. There are some productions notes along the way too, explaining what's going on and why.

Gear used:
Mutable Plaits into Tiptop Echoz and Zverb, and Electrosmith 2144 LPF
Korg Volca FM
Modal Skulpt (maybe a bit of a waste, but it's purely doing drum work)
sequenced on the Korg SQ1.
everything recorded on a Zoom R16 multitrack digital recorder whose built in reverb was used lightly, just to bring things together.

Again, a simple piece, but one made with joy as I rediscovered some old gear.

Speaking of which, anyone have recommendations for a decent and cheap drum machine? Go ahead and let me know below.
