Faces of the Forgotten

I am still on vacation until October, but I cannot help myself, had to get out a few days ago to film this Diablo Canyon story!
I will have an episode coming out every two weeks between now and October.
But next week and the week after I will have Part 2 and 3 of the New Orleans walks coming out. These are all productions I made last year.
Also, on Saturday, June 8th, will be doing a livestream in the morning, passing thru Chicago. Then I can update you all on what I have been up to.

A little outtake from this episode, sing it with me Gang!
EAGLES / 1972 Take It Easy    • Video
Why did the Eagles use Winslow, Arizona in their song?
Jackson Browne originally began writing "Take It Easy" in 1971 for his own eponymous debut album but was having difficulty finishing the song. Browne's friend Glenn Frey – who lived in the same Echo Park California apartment building as Browne – had heard an early version and later asked Browne about it. Browne then played the unfinished second verse that begins with "Well, I'm astandin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona...", and Frey finished the verse with "Such a fine sight to see. It's a girl, my lord, in a flatbed Ford, slowin' down to take a look at me."
Jackson Browne was very happy with the result and suggested that they finish the song together. The resulting song became the first track on the Eagles' debut album and was released as their first single.

THIS STORY:

It was April, 8, 1905 when 2 lawmen confronted a pair of desperados in the railroadworker town of Canyon Diablo, Arizona. 6 guns roared.
On the night before, two men named William Evans and John Shaw robbed a saloon in Winslow and made off with at some $300 in silver coins.
Death would be dealt, but it was what happened after that was morbid and shocking.

The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upsidedown, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...

Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.
