Deadly venomous Puff adder (Bitis arietans) is one of the biggest vipers in the world. This snake species lives in savannas and semideserts of Africa. Puff adders are well camouflaged in the leaf litter or in the dry grass. This species is responsible for many bites and deaths, in fact it is the second most dangerous snake of Africa, after Sawscaled vipers. Puff adders are locally very common.
