What is a Debate?
The debate refers to a formal discussion on a topic where one party speaks in favour of the topic while the other
speaks against the topic.

Why Debate is important?
The three main reasons are:
1. It improves Critical Thinking
2. It helps in Effective Communication
3. It strengths Democratic Engagement

What is Debate Writing?
Debate writing involves the preparation and composition of arguments in written form for a debate.

We learned the format of Debate Writing with an example.

Exercise:
You are Aijaz / Aashima of ETS School. Your school has organized a debate on “Is Online Education Good or Bad?”
and you will be participating in your school. Prepare your views against or in favour of the motion.
