This 45minute video lesson explores an indepth look at Rêverie L.76 by Claude Debussy (this piece is often catalogued as L.68, which comes from a catalogue by Francois Lesure in 1977, but these numbers were updated in 2001). Areas of focus include tone quality, creating color, balance between the melody and the accompaniment, melodic and harmonic shaping, how to properly execute 3 against 4 polyrhythms, interpretation, long lines, creating space and atmosphere within the lines, and impressionist stylistic elements to help you become as efficient as possible in your practice sessions.
