This is a full day vlog so there is a lot packed in here

We started off with a 6 mile hike above Deep Creek Campground on the North Carolina side of the Smoky Mountains. The roundtrip hike included 3 waterfalls (Tom Branch Falls, Indian Creek Falls, and Juney Whank Falls), as well as a strenuous hike to the top of a mountain to find a cemetery.

Bryson City is 5 minutes down the road, so after the hike we headed into town to explore and grab a treat. Bryson City has many cool stores and restaurants, and is home to the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. We ended up stopping by the Bryson City Outdoors Taproom and grabbing a drink along with some fries from the local Big Laurel Food Truck.

We then headed towards Cherokee, but along the way found Darnnell Farms, an awesome, secondgeneration family farm that produces over 100 acres of strawberries, pole beans, sweet corn, pumpkins, squash, a variety of tomatoes and more.

Cherokee is a town on the reservation home of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation, in western North Carolina. The areas we drove through seemed extremely touristy but we know there are some other spots to see another day.

Back at camp it was time to bust out the dutch oven and make Babs some classic dutch oven apple cobbler on the campfire.
