I stayed at my favorite inn, Hotel in the Forest in Oku Nikkō, Japan, deep inside the mountains. The greenishwhite soothing hot spring endlessly gushes out, filling the entire town with sulfur smells. The inn’s kaiseki meals, including Tochigi Wagyū, local trout, and seasonal mountain herbs, are enticing and keeps me returning to the place. Taking an openair bath in snow was incredibly fun!
