Enjoy an extended deep relaxocean meditation featuring a mesmerizing cloud of fish hanging around the edges of Monterey Canyon.
Anchovies (Engraulis mordax) play an important role as a food source for the larger animals that make a home in Monterey Bay—including some nearby Bocaccio rockfish (Sebastes paucispinis) who take advantage of the swirling feast. This hypnotic deepsea scene was captured on camera by the ROV Doc Ricketts at 153 meters (500 feet) deep.
