Former NT child protection minister John Elferink discusses the reasoning behind turning in his Northern Territory police service medal.

“The reason I sent back the medal was because I deeply irritated, I worked with a whole bunch of very fine people for over a decade and a half and during that period I saw those very fine people serve all people of the Northern Territory,” Mr Elferink said.

“To see that now being effectively trashed by a commissioner who determined to make an apology.”
