Delayed onset nodules following dermal filler treatment also known as lesions, or simply just lumps can strike fear into the hearts of aesthetic clinicians because they are far from easy to diagnose and manage.
Firstly, you have to diagnose whether the lesions are just postprocedural, then whether they are inflammatory or noninflammatory, then whether they're bacterial or not.
Should you watch and wait, and/or treat with antibiotics, steroids, and/or reverse the filler altogether with hyaluronidase.
In this episode of the Aesthetics Mastery Show, Dr Tim answers these questions and so much more about the diagnosis and treatment of delayed onset nodules.
