दिल्ली (Delhi) में बनने वाले केदारनाथ मंदिर (Kedarnath Temple) पर ज्योतिर्मठ के शंकराचार्य (Shankaracharya) स्वामी अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद (Swami Avimukteshwaranand) ने आरोप लगाया, "केदारनाथ (Kedarnath) में सोना घोटाला (Gold Scam) हुआ है, उस मुद्दे को क्यों नहीं उठाया जाता? वहां घोटाला करने के बाद अब दिल्ली में केदारनाथ बनेगा? और फिर एक और घोटाला (Scam) होगा। केदारनाथ से 228 किलो सोना गायब है... कोई जांच शुरू नहीं हुई है। इसके लिए कौन जिम्मेदार है?... अब वे कह रहे हैं कि दिल्ली में केदारनाथ बनाएंगे, ऐसा नहीं हो सकता।"
