Not been for a bit and what a way to start 2024.

Everyone on the hardtails except Jon. This just provided the extra bit of challenge that none of us really needed to be fair (well expect Jason). First visit for Christian, Jason and Phil and I reckon they all got plenty from the day. Conditions were mixed, certainly not as bad as recent rain would have you expecting but equally not pure madness.

In the past I have included a loop before returning to the hill but this time it was purely the steep stuff. As ever this stuff is very challenging and there were plenty of tripod moments I am not ashamed to say (well I am, but I am not going to make out I'm some expert pro rider......obviously).

Sadly as the day went on we lost Phil as his brakes decided to start leaking fluid all over. Now this is one place where brakes are quite important. Jon also had to leave early due to temperamental shock issues.

Only two tumbles from me and no serious injuries.....bonus!

Jason had go pro battery issues as can be seen in a very early part of my viideo but he still produced a great version of the days events....
