Elizabeth ‘Libby’ Stanley built a career creating finelydetailed illustrations for children’s books. When she contracted meningococcal eight years ago, she endured four amputations, including the loss of her dominant right hand. Using her partiallyamputated left hand, Libby adapted her technique, style and approach to art, using a computer tablet, a stylus and painting software. Now Libby creates artwork to raise money for the RSPCA, a continuation of her identity as working artist.
