This shipspotting video was shot on the 11th of May, 2024 and shows various ships passing the Kiel Canal from the Baltic to the North Sea.

Higlight of the video is the Russian freighter "POLA MARIA" of the "VolgoDon Max" as she class passed through the Kiel Canal on 11.05.2024 on her way from Kalinigrad, Russia to Brake, Germany. According to various media reports, the 141meterlong ship was transporting animal feed. In addition to food and certain energy sources, animal feed is not affected by the European Union's multipart sanctions package against Russia and can therefore be imported. She is the first russian vessel to pass the canal in over one year.
