I’ve been doing this for about a year, so as a retrospective, I decided to remaster my first upload and apply everything I have learned.

To all of you just just starting out, or looking to get started, here’s some advice I wish someone gave to me:
Spend more than $20 on a microphone.
Remove the noise, apply EQ, amplify, compress, amplify to 3 DB, in that order.
It is not acceptable to record your narration, and do laundry at the same time.
If you have a lot to say, cut everything that does not contribute to your conclusion.
Force someone to watch your video, listen to their feedback, and try again.

MOST IMPORTANTLY If YOU aren’t happy with the final product, throw it out, and start over. Don't give up.
