Time to move the #cows again! When we first started out with #DexterCattle, we used a little grain or pellets to build a relationship with our #cattle. Now, they are completely #pastureraised. We like #grassfed because the inputs are low. Folks enjoy the #pasturefinished quality of our meat. The animals are moved every 37 days depending on the conditions.The property has 9 permanent paddocks of various sizes that we subdivide with temporary electric fencing as necessary. Our goal is to rest the plants for 3045 days most of the time. Sometimes, recovery can be as long as 60 days. The herd comes when called & leads well or can be driven either by a person or with a border collie. We really enjoy their docility!
