While most heritage railways are known mostly for their steam services, diesel power plays a huge role in preservation too. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (or NYMR) is no exception and diesel traction is often used, especially during hot and dry weather when steam locomotives could accidentally set fire to the national park the railway runs through. So today let's look at some of the diesels that call the NYMR home and see what they get up too, including a few sequences shunting in and around Grosmont!
