Voices of the Civil Rights Movement

Ovide Duncantell, Founder and Executive Director of the Black Heritage Society Inc., reflects on the story of the 1967 Texas State University riot, and being influenced by the different camps of the Civil Rights Movement led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X.
Duncantell notes, "We had a dilemma during the movement ... you had to be with Malcolm, or you had to be with Dr. King. … I had no difficulty being in both locations.”
