Diffusion weighted imaging made easy! Diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) is one of the most important sequences in Neuroradiology. It's hard to imagine imaging of acute ischemic stroke without DWI, and it's role in differential diagnosis of brain tumors for instance can't be underestimated. It's also a difficult sequence to understand. In this video we explore the physical basis of the DWI sequence, we learn how to correctly analyze a DWIsequence and illustrate the DWItechnique with lots of examples from daily neuroradiological practice.
