"Dio vi salvi Regina" come an Italian canticle from 1675 written by Saint Francis of Geronimo inspired by the popular "Salve Regina". The song will be diffused in Italy where it will be forgotten and in Corsica where it will gain popularity around 1730 thanks to the Corsican insurgents. The song became the national anthem of the Corsican Republic of Pascal Paoli in 1735 during the Corte agreements.
