If you have areal data but highresolution, raster covariates, then maybe disaggregation regression is useful for you.

And here's some instructions for installing packages.

You need to install the disaggregation package. This however has some dependencies that aren't trivial. So please first install INLA:

Then install and check TMB:

I believe this should be fairly easy on linux or mac. On windows you also need RTools.

Finally, install the disaggregation package with install.packages('disaggregation')
