Later, we head to the charming mountain town of Ouray to explore the famous Box Canyon. Known as the "Switzerland of America," Ouray is home to this dramatic canyon with waterfalls cascading through narrow rock walls, creating a magical atmosphere. This is the only place we had actually heard of before our trip!

On our way home, we venture to the jawdropping Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, where sheer cliffs drop nearly 2,000 feet to the Gunnison River below. Whether you're gazing out over the Painted Wall or taking in the rugged beauty of the canyon from scenic overlooks, this park offers some of the most dramatic landscapes in the U.S.
