In the tense period of American imperialists expanding the war to destroy the North, in order to ensure production safety, Gang Thép Thái Nguyên 28 General Squadron (Iron and Steel) built and renovated the ground in the cave to store raw materials for production, built simple railway, produced weapons to supply for the battlefield in the South.
To facilitate the transportation of raw materials up and down, the 28 Squadron built a stone embankment with a length of over 200m, concrete surface, a width of 2.5m leading to the cave. The mouth of the cave is like a giant frog jaw with an area of over 50m2 facing the northwest, a concrete stone pillar of about 100m3 was built at the entrance to prevent American bombs from collapsing the cave.
