Steamboat Willie's Mickey Mouse is in the public domain, and there's nothing Walt Disney Animation Studios can do about it. However, YouTube uploads of the Steamboat Willie cartoon are still being copyright claimed by Disney. What's going on here? Is there any way to make money off of the original Mickey Mouse now that Disney doesn't own the copyright anymore?
