Bedtime can be the most challenging part to do on your own. Fortunately, I don't have to do this as often as I used to when my husband was on graves, but it's still hard.

But, if you've ever done bedtime by yourself as a single or solo parent, you know that some nights are harder than others...and this particular night was more chaotic than normal for me.

Fortunately, we were able incorporate some fun during the day, including visiting my husband while he was on shift. I know that helps him get through these crazy 18 hour shifts and it helps the girls and I break up the monotony of our day.

Sometimes, you have to make your own time as a LEO family, and bringing a picnic lunch (or dinner) to them is a great way to create that quality time for yourselves.
