On this October 1st, The United States Air Force Band would like to wish a very happy birthday to legendary composer, John Mackey! To celebrate, we're presenting a clip from his newest work for clarinet and wind ensemble called "Divine Mischief". The Band performed this wildly exciting piece earlier this year with worldrenown clarinetist, Julian Bliss. The soloist plays the role of a trickster, demonstrating both unparalleled virtuosity and the ability to create tender, yearning melodies throughout. We are grateful for this new addition to the wind band repertoire thank you, Mr. Mackey and Happy birthday!
