A video from diving the U869, UWho in July 2021. The wreck lies 60 miles offshore New Jersey at a depth of 67m / 220 ft. The conditions at the dive site can be quite challenging, but we were rewarded with awesome vis after the four hour boat ride.

The U869 became famous in the 90’s when its discovery was followed by years of struggle to identify the wreck and its history. Unfortunately it also cost the lives of several divers in that process.
The journey is covered in two books, “Shadow Divers” & “The Last Dive”, and the NOVA documentary “Hitler’s Lost Sub”.
