This is an attempt at building my own studio easel for oil painting. This is the basic prototype that I plan to build future easels from. The basic construction is using ash hardwood (Inexpensive for hardwoods but sturdy and easy to work). I coupled that with aluminum angle brackets, TRails, Bearings (Used for skateboards) & 3/4" Pipe and support with circle weight plates.
