In this DIY framing tutorial, I will take you through step by step to create a simple fabric mat that will work with any frame (vintage or new). I’m using a raw linen in my frame but you can use any fabric you’d like. Extra points for thinking outside the traditional box! These make really nice frames in a farmhouse, rustic or contemporary decor and add a custom feel to any home. All the supplies you can find at your local craft store, antique market or online.

These art tutorials are meant to be fun, uncomplicated and intuitive. I want to show you how beautiful creative projects can be, and how to truly appreciate the tools and materials you're using and how they work beautifully together.
