How to DIY board and batten walls are easy and simple to do. This demonstration shows an installation of trim pieces as the battens but instead of adding new boards, I used mud to smooth out my textured skip trowel wall. Use this hack for any space that you want to upgrade to achieve that board and batten look. Make sure to prime before you paint so you have a good base to cover up those mud patches!
