How to build a DIY miter box or is it mitre box, hmm. Either way, that's simple and easy. A miter box is a tool used for hand sawing to act as a guide to make cuts.

There are slots where you position your saw to make precise angled cuts. Why is this important? Maybe someone wants to make frames or other wood projects that require pieces to form an angle.

You can purchase miter boxes made with hard plastic, wood or even metal. However, if you have scarp wood lying around you can build one of your own. Not only will it be cheaper to make using old scarp materials, but you can also add any angle you want. It's your miter box.
