DIY Raised Garden Bed Screen Covers

Follow
Kellogg Garden

So you've had a plant attack. Or perhaps, many attacks. Sometimes companion planting, row covers, and even fencing aren't enough to keep away larger garden looters. When it comes to hungry garden critters like squirrels, rabbits, mice, lizards, grasshoppers, etc the barriers need to be stronger and in some cases allencompassing. Bring on the raised garden bed screen covers, an easy way to keep garden thieves out of our beautiful gardens.

Bridget Ayers, a gardener in zone 10b, shows us how she and her husband, Evan, built their raised bed screen covers. Since they are in a temporary space and have raised garden beds of varying sizes Bridget wanted to build screens that could be easily moved, modified, and stored.
