Solar Kayaking project. Total cost is just under $1200. This is a version 1.0 Reverse Osmosis (RO) water maker system that I fit on my Nucanoe Pursuit 13.5 kayak. I used it for 4 days on the Gulf Coast ICW covering 60 miles from Port Isabel to Port Mansfield, Texas. It worked great but definitely has some room for improvement and volume reduction. The system is easily portable and can be repurposed for use on boats, sailboats, or just about anywhere you need water from sea water or brackish water. Overall, very happy with how it came out! Planning to redesign and reattack the ICW next summer, sub to get notified of upgrades and mods!
