The design is inspired by a couple console tables from Studio McGee and Sixpenny. I built this one from red oak, however, the dimensions are consistent with offtheshelf lumber so you can build with whatever you’re comfortable with (hardwoods or off the shelf pine from Home Depot or Lowes).
