Over the past weekend both Kendrick Lamar and the NFL announced the artist as the headliner for the upcoming Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. In the promo for this announcement the rapper stated
"There's only one opportunity to win a championship, no round twos"
Kendrick Lamar
This specific quote stood out as it was an obvious subliminal response to Drake and his entourage posting to socials alleging to the BEEF not being finished just yet. Even going as far as to post a clipping of retired NBA Champion Rasheed Wallace's famous 2004 interview where he says
"y'all put it on the front page, back page, middle of the page...we will win Game 2" Rasheed Wallace
That year the Detroit Pistons went on to beat the Pacers and then proceeded to win the NBA Finals later against the Lakers.......but the real question is; do fans even want a round two? Here's our thoughts on the matter and be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments down below!
