Since the 1950s, Orient has been the third most famous Japanese watch brand behind the superpowers of Seiko (Orient’s parent company today) and Citizen. However, despite a cult following for their budget dive and dress watches, this is a company using antiquated movements and with a backwardlooking brand presence. In this video, I would like to examine Orient’s history to understand if this is a brand with no future.
