Is a paint booth really worth the money it costs? Vice Grip Garage seems to think so, even though Derek Bieri doesn't have one other than an inflatable temporary booth. The paintjob I recently did for Derek inspired me to record this video on the basics of how a paint booth works, and why it's necessary to have one in my personal shop and training facility. That said, a booth is NOT REQUIRED in order for paint products to properly dry and cure, and the simple truth is that you CAN get great results from painting automotive products without one. Keeping the chemistry happy is how I describe the best practice scenario I teach, and it's really as simple as that.
