Donald Trump is in Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention, two days after he survived an assassination attempt.

Trump swept a majority of votes from national convention delegates and named JD Vance, the senator of Ohio, to be his running mate and vicepresident if he returns to the White House.

After receiving the votes of enough delegates to clinch the nomination, the former president will lead the GOP in a third consecutive election.
