PPE is used to protect health care workers and patients from contamination with infectious agents. In order for this equipment to provide the best protection it must be applied and removed correctly. This video will showcase the CDC recommendations for application and removal of standard PPE (gloves, tearaway gown, faceshield, mask). To help to visualize potential errors, sections of this video were filmed in black light while utlizing florencent lotions, sprays and powders to represent infectious agents.
