The Top Drawer RVA

IIn this long format video you will learn all about proper prep for furniture. What happens before you paint? What should you do to make sure your paint will stick and look amazing??

Disassemble: Remove drawers, knobs, and hardware. Label them for easy reassembly later.
Clean: Wipe down the furniture White Lightning to remove dirt, grime, and wax.
Sand: Use finegrit sandpaper to scuff the entire surface gently. This creates a better surface for the paint to adhere.
Fill imperfections: Use Dixie Belle Mud to fix dents, scratches, or holes. Let it dry completely, then sand smooth.
Clean again: Wipe away dust from sanding with a damp cloth or tack cloth.
Prime (optional): Apply a coat of Bonding Boss primer for better paint adhesion and coverage, especially if the piece is a bleeder or red wood. Now your furniture is prepped and ready for paint!
