Concert title: Encounter of East and West

Program Notes: The concerto draws inspiration from the Taitung Amis Kakeng Musical Group's pieces One Happy Day and Coral Trees Blooming. It was originally collected and arranged by composer Hsieh TsungHan, subsequently, Lee CheYi has redeveloped it into a Chinese orchestral version performed by two musicians on Eastern and Western percussion instruments. The Eastern percussion includes kakeng and yunluo, while the Western percussion features marimba. Together, creating a performance brimming with the lively spirit and unique characteristic of aboriginal music.
