This is the bowing pattern I teach for getting in and out of bowed triplets in Irish reels.
“Silver Spear” is a great example of a tune where you could use this bowing pattern over and over in both the A and the B parts.
Here we’ll learn and practice it using open D and A strings. Open strings are a great way to practice bowing patterns take out the left hand fingerings and concentrate on the rhythm and bow direction only.
